This renovation is a thoughtful transformation of a historic, single-story double shotgun commercial building, geared towards a new retail tenant with a penchant for coffee culture.

Historical inaccuracies, including non-original metal posts and railings, have been removed from the front porch and replaced with turned wood posts that complement the Victorian style. A new planter enhances curb appeal, while repairs to the eaves include new drip flashing, fascia, gutters, and downspouts.

Inside, non-structural partitions and fixtures open up the space. Updated mechanical systems, lighting, and new interior casework — including custom retail displays and a point-of-sale desk — were installed. Existing plumbing fixtures in the bathroom have been replaced, culminating in a space that respects its history, while embracing its new role as a hub for coffee enthusiasts.
